I suspect that they are creatures brought here by gods to support them during the god wars. Also, I suspect that they are responsible for the metallic 'dragon' items. The Dragonkin have led to the annihilation of many civilizations that have used Jas tool of creations. While they've been responsible for many of these sad tales of destruction they've nevertheless created the fabled Dragon "metal". This supposed alloy is one of the strongest natural materials in all of Gielnor. While only the most skilled of all blacksmiths are able to forge plate armor from ruined dragon armor parts no sentient being's been able to create this metal from scratch.
The vicious looking, crimson armor harbors many spikes and its creators symbol's graven in the armors chest. (I only acknowledge the old design as real dragon armor > )

The title matches the picture perfectly as the Dragonkin are the creators/makers of the glorious armor and thus they've proven to be extremely skilled. The situation isn't looking good for this adventurer. He had the privilege to meet the creators of his equipment but he's most likely to meet his maker!
